RUM: IT’S WHAT’S FOR DINNER

On Thursday, July 19, the Bum and rum historian Wayne Curtis (author of And A Bottle Of Rum: A History Of The New World In Ten Cocktails) will co-host a “Spirited Dinner” at the Palace Cafe in New Orleans. They’ve chosen rum cocktails old and new to accompany chef Darin Nesbitt’s food menu (above), which they’ll discuss with their fellow diners — until their fellow diners can no longer hide their irritation and politely excuse themselves.
